Recommended number of credits gained at Level Two Mathematics: 14 Level 2 Achievement Standard credits

Recommended standards already passed:

91264 (2.9) - Use statistical methods to make an inference

91265 (2.10) - Conduct an experiment to investigate a situation using statistical methods

91267 (2.12) - Apply probability methods in solving problems


The course aims to extend the student's ability to tackle statistical analysis, mathematical modelling and problem solving.


If a student achieves 14 Level 3 credits in this course it will be counted as an approved subject for University Entrance.

This course provides excellent mathematical skills for those intending to study Biological or Social Sciences, Medicine, Finance, Business, Management, or any field where the collection, analysis or interpretation of data is important.
