Course Description

This course builds on Year 9 and 10 Japanese. Topics such as eating out, leisure activities, holidays, meeting others and health & communication will be covered. Students will continue to learn about aspects of Japanese culture and society. Students will be able to use familiar language in a variety of situations and be able to understand and explain many Japanese customs. There will be a focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking skills and students will be expected to be able to read and write hiragana, katakana and 55 simple kanji by the end of the year.

Pre-requisite for Years 12 and 13 Japanese.
Recommended Prior Learning
A satisfactory level of basic Year 10 Japanese is essential.
