WHAT THE COURSE WILL COVER:
INTRODUCTION TO:
- Gaming design and programming
- Website creation
- Image manipulation
- Vector Graphics
- Laser printing
INCLUDING:
- Learning lots of new skills
- Designing and creating digital technologies outcomes
- Problem solving and lateral thinking
- Understanding the positive and negative impacts of digital technologies on society
- How to share, test and debug your digital outcome
APPLICATIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Scratch, Notepad ++, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Blogger.
METHODS OF LEARNING:
- Practical hands on approach using a range of materials
- Group work
- Self/peer evaluation
- Project based learning
WHERE DOES THE SUBJECT LEAD:
- Year 10 Digital Technologies - half year option
- Year 10 Digital Technologies, Create, Collaborate & Connect - full year option
- Year 11 Digital Technologies - students can specialise in areas of programming or media or a combination of both
- Year 12 Digital Technologies - students can specialise in areas of programming or media or a combination of both
- Year 13 Digital Technologies - students can specialise in areas of programming or media or a combination of both
